Sedona Adventures

We had to hear from Shae, our Ecommerce Manager, about her recent trip to Sedona—here’s everything she had to share!

Q: Tell us about your travels in Sedona. Where did you go? Where did you stay?

A: We flew into Phoenix, rented a car, and took the two-hour trek up to Sedona. We stayed at a gorgeous Airbnb that was not only walking distance to the downtown area but also had an amazing view of the sunset on the red rocks. The first day, we went on an out-and-back hike to Devil's Bridge (~4.2 miles total) and then did the iconic Pink Jeep Tour. The Pink Jeep tour consisted of rocky off-roading, stops at places that would be hard to hike to, and so many interesting facts about Sedona and the red rocks. I would highly recommend both of these as they're both a great way to get outside for all types of activity levels. The next day, I led a yoga class at the Airbnb, we went to brunch, shopped a little, and did a winery tour at Page Springs Cellars. The winery tour was so in-depth, and we got to sample wine straight from the barrel! They also had delicious snacks. After, we just hung out at the Airbnb and ordered in since we had a view of the sunset.

Q: What kinds of apparel/gear from High Country did you bring, and which would you say were absolute must-haves?

A: It was pretty cold when we went, so I basically lived in my FP Movement Quinn Quilted Puffer Vest and Pippa Packable Puffer Jacket! I also wore Smartwool socks the entire time! I wish I would have pack a thicker beanie and nicer gloves.

Q: What were a few trip highlights/favorite spots/shopping recs?

A: Definitely the hike to Devil's Bridge. We started at 7AM to beat the crowds and got to watch the sunrise over the red rocks. It was absolutely stunning!

Pump House Station had great coffee and brunch, but you'll want to get early unless you want to wait for a table. SaltRock Southwest Kitchen is off the main strip but offers fantastic food & drinks with a great outdoor patio. Already mentioned this, but Page Springs Cellars has a variety of wines with great outdoor patios overlooking a river!

Q: What would you do differently next time? Where did you wish you could have gone if anywhere?

A:  I would have added two more hikes or one longer hike. I also would recommend staying longer if possible! The downtown area has so many good shops and restaurants that we didn't have time to check out.
