It is with a mix of nostalgia and excitement that we share the news that we are closing the Paddle Shack. It’s been an unforgettable decade of adventure, community, and countless memories.
The Paddle Shack holds a special place in the history of High Country. In 2011, High Country’s Founder James “Bubba” Sloan took up paddle boarding on the Chattahoochee, falling in love with the sport. This inspired a vision to share the experience with the Atlanta community; thus, The Paddle Shack was born.
Reflecting on the past decade fills us with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received from this community. Each smile, each adventure shared, has become a part of High Country’s legacy.
As we bid farewell to The Paddle Shack, we also look eagerly to the future, where we turn our focus to expanding our retail footprint and continuing to serve our customers. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made The Paddle Shack a special place. Your support, enthusiasm, and love for the outdoors have been (and continue to be) our driving force.
We have passed on The Paddle Shack to Murph's Surf Rentals. They will be reopening on May 4th.
Thank you for sharing this incredible journey with us. Here’s to the memories we’ve made and the adventures yet to come!
